My Flog for December 12

  • Breakfast - Toast and Coffee
  • Lunch - Tomato Bisque soup (not the porcelain kind of bisque - it was served in a take-away bowl, and it was very yummy), roll, and Yogurt
  • Dinner - Pasta - Howard made a 'goulash' with ground beef, spaghetti sauce, peppers, onions, celery, and  lots of mozzarella and cheddar. If there was anything else in there it was in disguise, and it was a very tasty dish indeed, to set before a quee .... tired old woman.
  • Snacks - Pudding - and Steve tells me the puddings are NOT fat-free, but TRANS FAT free, and there is a big difference. There is indeed, and the ones he bought yesterday are indeed trans fat free, but the fact remains that the ones he bought last week were fat-free. Too bad Howard burnt the packaging in the fireplace so I can't prove it, but I'm sure he knows deep down I was right. As usual. Also a Cheesecake Truffle from the bakery.
Regarding the Cheesecake Truffle from the bakery. You know how, when you're waiting for your soup, you eyeball all the baked goods behind glass at the bakery? The apple tarts, the lemon tarts, the eccles cakes, the apple turnovers, the chocolate cupcakes, the cream horns, the carrot cake, the rum balls, the  date squares, the butter tarts, the fruit tarts, the Kahlua eclairs, the raspberry cheesecake, and the cheesecake truffles? And these are just the ones on the right side of the till. The left side has all the muffins, croissants, danish pastries, and cookies..... Well, you know how, when you finally break down and buy one of these treats, and take it home (or to your place of work) and eat it, and then after you eat it, you wish you hadn't, because the wish for it far excelled the actuallity of eating it?

Well, that's what happened to me. Maybe today you learned a new word. I make them up when I need them.
