July 24 The worst part of waking up is realizing it’s only 4 am and you really really really have to pee.

It rained! It rained this morning, and this afternoon, nice big heavy rains that made the grass happy. I don’t usually get excited about rain, especially in February when I have to go out, but today it was fine. Because we were getting a bit tired of 30 degree temperatures. At least I was.

Today wasn’t very exciting, at least not for me.  It was Howard’s turn to go see a doctor, a pain specialist, to get his bad shoulder checked out. So pain pills, Xrays and ultra sounds in his future. Meanwhile I am in the middle of a battle between two specialists, one which prescribed me prednisone for my RA, and the other who wants me to have a certain blood test that won’t work if I’m on steroids. So the plan is to give up the pills for 6 days, and, four days into that, I’m getting a bit sorer and a lot crankier, so we’ll see what happens. It’s best not to talk to me right now, and if you try to give me advice about my cooking, I’d think twice about eating it. Just sayin’.

Oh  I almost forgot the Poem.  Let me have a think.

My Poem

I cannot find two rhyming words

I’ve tried and tried and tried

And so I’m going to go to bed

(I think my brain is fried.)
