JUNE 15 - Butterfly Seeds, The Itsy Bitsy Spiders, and Richmond Food Blogger

I can't believe it was a sunny day, as it was one of my Day Offs, and it usually always rains on my Day Offs. Lizzie and I planted the last of the begonias Steve brought last weekend, and she watered the butterfly seeds. I'm still not optimistic about the butterfly harvest, although there are quite a few seedlings of various types poking through the grass. I won't know which are weeds and which are butterflies until they spread their wings and fly, I guess.

I did however, discover how to Freak Out a 4-Year Old;

'Nanny, there's a bumble bee on the watering can.' Said with a slight panic in her voice.
'No, Lizzie, that's not a bumble bee.'
'Oh. O -kay'
'They are spiders!'

Just because legs are little doesn't mean they can't run fast, while nanny takes the can back to the outdoor tap to dry and drown out the last of these little suckers.

If any of you want to check out the blogger who got the blogging job I really really wanted to get - click on the link below. According to some of the comments on her posts, I think I wasn't the only one disappointed not to get the job!. She's been in many exotic places and done some pretty exciting things, so I would think eating tripe and jellyfish in Richmond wouldn't be all that far out of her comfort zone.   http://www.365daysofdining.com/ .
