Summer may actually be getting nearer. I don't care what the calendar says, if I have to wear my hooded jacket to work, it's not summer. I walked up to Steve's a couple of nights ago, and noted it was a beautiful evening - for October. This afternoon actually warmed up a bit, and it's 21 on my computer screen right now - that's supposed to be Surrey temps according to the Weather Network icon. However, I have the feeling it will probably rain tomorrow. If this is Global Warming, then I don't like it.
Howard just came in - he was sitting on the front porch listening to JR FM - country music. Goes well with the smell of exotic spices (curry) from our neighbours' kitchens.
'Do you know what the temperature is at the airport?' he asked.
'21.'
'Oh well .... ' and he went back out, sort of deflated, and amazed at how much one can learn while sat tapping all evening.
- Breakfast - Toast and Coffee
- Lunch - Subway Chicken Noodle Soup, Yummy
- Dinner - Mr Pickwick's Fish 'n ' Chips. Now, I don't know where Mr Pickwick gets his fish, but one piece of fish is about as big as a whale. Double that and there is enough food there to feed a small army. I know for sure he supplied the 2 fish that went along with the 5 loaves to feed the multitudes. Needless to say, we have enough leftover fish in the fridge to last probably until Christmas. Also had coleslaw, a few onion rings, and a ginger ale. Now I can hardly move. Groan.
- Snacks - Iced Mocha, Coconut/Cinnamon Muffin. Now THAT was a Muffin. Yummy.
